Liam Flaherty is an avid composer, performer, and educator in the local Pittsburgh area. His compositions are referred to as ‘deeply emotional and intricate’ and have been represented at the 2019 Charlotte New Music festival among other events. As a performer, he has performed as a percussionist with the Wheeling Symphony Percussion Ensemble, and has performed frequently as a drumset player at numerous jazz events and festivals. He also is an expert in liturgical music, and is the current keyboardist at Christ of our Hope Church. Liam has been teaching for several years, and strives to have his students discover music in a way that is genuine and organic. Liam is 23 years old and has a B.A. in Music Technology and Composition from Duquesne University.
